New Tow Plane Introduced

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), General Walter Natynczyk , on behalf of the Department of National Defence, signed an Amendment to the Contract for Goods and Services to place the British Columbia Provincial Committee of the Air Cadet League of Canada’s newest tow plane, a Cessna 182P under Operational Control of the Canadian Forces in support of the Air Cadet Gliding Program in British Columbia.

Officer of the Year 2009

Presented to an individual who serves in support of the Canadian Cadet Organization, when it is desired to honour such a person for service that is considered to be above that which might normally be expected of a Member of the Canadian Forces in its CIC component.

Air Cadet League of Canada Elects New President

OTTAWA, ON. – The Air Cadet League of Canada recently elected Joe Johnson, former 1st Vice President of the Air
Cadet League, to the position of National President at their Annual General Meeting held this year in St John’s NL.

Johnson, on accepting the appointment, stated that “It is an honour and a privilege to lead such a dedicated group of
volunteers while working for the finest youth group in Canada”.
