Ontario Aerospace Council Scholarships

Are you considering a career in aerospace or are you currently enrolled in aerospace studies? The Ontario Aerospace Council is offering four scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year including one Women in Aerospace Canada Scholarship! The value of each scholarship is $2,500 and the deadline to apply is May 3, 2019. For more information, please visit the OAC website.

POST-SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS REMINDER

The average tuition fees for an undergraduate degree in Canada is $6,838 per year. Wondering how you will pay for your post-secondary education? Apply to one of the eight scholarships offered by the Air Cadet League of Canada! Thousands of dollars are available! All you have to do is complete the ACC64 form before April 1st. An application example is also available to help you fill the form.

An Evening with Dave Hadfield

If you find yourself in Alberta this March, check this out: our Alberta Provincial Committee is having a fundraiser featuring Dave Hadfield! Join them for a night of original music and highlights of Dave Hadfield’s aviation career and cadet involvement. This event is taking place on March 22 for Calgary and March 23 for Edmonton. Explore Aviation Summer Camp

Do you know a teen who has what it takes to leave ordinary behind? This summer, NAV Canada is bringing back its Explore Aviation Summer Camp. For 24 young women and 24 young men entering Grade 10, this will be a unique opportunity to get insider access to learn how aviation works in Canada. This one week camp located in Cornwall, ON, will feature hands-on learning to explore the exciting careers of the aviation industry. The application deadline is March 8, 2019. The recipients of the 2018 PTAA, CFTA and Music Awards were announced at the Air Cadet League’s 77th Semi-Annual Meeting during the President’s Recognition Breakfast back in November. Congratulations to all the winners!

2019 Post-Secondary Scholarship Awards

In 2018, the Air Cadet League of Canada awarded more than $20,000 in post-secondary scholarships to deserving Air Cadets across the country. This year, we are proud to offer eight post-secondary education scholarship awards to Royal Canadian Air Cadets. They are the Young Citizen Foundation Scholarship, the Birchall Scholarship, the Dale Scholarship, the Alex Venables Scholarship in Engineering, the Jazz Aviation Pathway Award for Professionalism, the Jazz Aviation Pathway Award for Professionalism and Diversity, and, new this year, two Air Cadet League of Canada Foundation Scholarships.

Get a head start on the competition, start working today on your application! You have until April 1st to complete the ACC64 form. An application example is also available to help you fill the form.
