The Air Cadet League of Canada Announces New Vice-President

OTTAWA, ON (November 2, 2017) – The Air Cadet League of Canada is pleased to announce that Ms. Hille Viita has accepted the position of Vice-President and will now be part of the organization’s Executive Committee.

This follows the recent departure of Ms. Darlene LaRoche who decided to focus her time and energy to the local level of the organization. She made the following statement: “Being part of the Air Cadet League of Canada has changed my life for the better.  I have learned through participation over many years as a parent, Squadron Sponsoring Committee member, Alberta Provincial Committee member, Governor and now Vice-President of the Air Cadet League, that this organization instills the best principles and characteristics of leadership in not only our air cadets but in our members as well.”

The Air Cadet League of Canada would like to thank her for her many years of service and dedication. Her hard work was greatly appreciated and she will be missed by everyone at the national level.

In addition, Mr. Kevin Robinson, Governor of the Air Cadet League of Canada, has accepted to take over the responsibilities of Chair of the National Communications Committee, left vacant by Ms. LaRoche’s departure.

The Air Cadet League of Canada is a civilian non-profit community based and volunteer led organization which is dedicated to supporting the objectives of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program, and to developing in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership; promoting physical fitness; and stimulating the interest of youth in the aviation and aerospace industry, including the air element of the Canadian Forces.
