The Air Cadet League of Canada Announces 2019 National Effective Speaking Competition Winner

OTTAWA, ON (June 19, 2019) – The Air Cadet League of Canada (ACL) congratulates Warrant Officer First Class (WO1) Cameron Kinsella from 807 Mount Pearl Squadron, representing the Newfoundland & Labrador
Provincial Committee, as the winner of the League’s National Effective Speaking Competition held on June 13,
2019, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

WO1 Cameron Kinsella has always strived to become a better leader and make the most of the many opportunities that the Air Cadet Program offers. Since his induction to Squadron 807 in 2013, Cameron has completed General Training, Basic Aviation, Advanced Aviation, the Glider Pilot Scholarship Course, and the Power Pilot Scholarship Course during summer training programs. In his first year with Squadron 807, he became a member of the marksmanship, biathlon, and drill teams. Today his responsibilities include drill team commander, band’s drum major, and a glider familiarization pilot.

The Air Cadet League of Canada is a civilian non-profit community based and volunteer led organization, which in collaboration with the Department of National Defence and our other partners, is dedicated to supporting the objectives of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program, and to developing in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership; promoting physical fitness; and stimulating the interest of youth in the aviation and aerospace industry, including the air element of the Canadian Forces.
